Dear Parents
Karstveld Academy’s uniform was chosen with availability and cost in mind. Parents can purchase most of the items from Pep Stores/Ackermans, and have the school logo embroidered onto the items. The shirts must be labelled with the child’s name and be accompanied by N$40 per shirt to be embroidered. Parents can drop all clothing off at the school reception on weekdays from 8:00-12:00. The last date for embroidery in 2021 is 15 November 2021.
We are also introducing the concept of Formal and Informal school wear. At Karstveld Academy we strive for excellence in all areas, and this includes the image we portray to the world. Our students should take pride in their appearance and look neat and respectful when interacting with the public. In any instance where a student is representing the school, he/she will be obligated to wear Formal school wear. However, in our climate, this attire is not always practical and comfortable, and therefore students will be allowed to wear more informal school wear on regular school days. After studying the tables below, you will see that the main difference is in the wearing of ties and blazers.
The following school uniform items can be purchased at Pep Stores or Ackermans
- Long or short-sleeved white shirt which can be buttoned up at the neck
- Grey skirts, trousers and shorts
- Navy Pullover, Jersey and Drymac
- White socks
- Black school shoes (no vellies)
The following is available at the school office:
- Blazer
- School ties
- Official grey school socks
- Tights
Karstveld Academy will also operate a second-hand clothing bank, as soon as items become available.
